>Sound On< Women, are we okay?

There’s so much noise telling us what we need to add to our lives, our faces and our bodies.

But what about everything that’s already within us?

Our pleasure. Our intuition. Our cyclical nature. Our capacity to feel, receive, explore and experience this extraordinary life.

The Yogic tradition offers us a beautiful practice called Svadhyaya, the art of self-study. An invitation to turn inward, become curious about our own nature and cultivate a deeper relationship with ourselves.

What if we spent a little less time searching outside ourselves and a little more time getting intimately acquainted with who we are?

Not because there’s anything wrong with wanting to look or feel beautiful. But because there’s so much more to being a woman than how beautifully we age.

Perhaps the greatest gift we can give ourselves is the freedom to keep becoming, without believing we need fixing along the way.

Know thyself. And enjoy the privilege of becoming.

P.S. This is my daily go to lymphatic self-care, Dr. Perry Nickelston’s “Big 6” from @stopchasingpain . A few minutes of intentional and natural attention to the body I’m privileged to grow older in.

Six days without wifi.

Before you panic, hear me out. 😉

You’re in Italy.

You wake up at a retreat in a 14th-century hermitage hidden in the Umbrian hills.

Morning Yoga overlooking the valley.
Long, beautiful meals.
Silent dinners by candlelight.
Creative play. Healing Arts. Restorative Yoga. Sound Healing.
Walks in the forest. Ceremonies under the moon.

And afternoons with the wildly ambitious agenda of reading, wandering, napping... or doing absolutely nothing.

No tv. No wifi. No notifications.

The fire is our television.
Conversation is our wifi.
And nobody’s checking the signal.

Just stone, forest, good food, beautiful practices, and the luxury of not having to be anywhere else.

This is Women Unplugged.

Six days to step out of the noise and remember what it feels like to have your attention belong to you again.

October 25–30, 2026

Yoga is meant to liberate you!

Fundamentally, it’s a process of subtraction, not addition.

You’re not your body.

Your body is sacred, but your essence cannot be measured.

You’re far more vast than the way the world taught you to measure yourself. 🩷

There’s a particular kind of magic that happens when open hearts gather in a beautiful place…

At @lesirenuse, something quietly unfolds.

Days filled with Yoga, mountain trails, sea air, and tables so abundant they feel like an act of love.

There’s no shortage of laughter…or those moments that quietly stay with you.

At Dolce Vitality, strangers don’t stay strangers for long.

We arrive curious, we find our way as friends, and always leave as family. ❤️

With so much emotion and intensity moving through our world, of course our bodies are responding.

And in moments like this, coming back to ourselves matters.

Coming back to breath.
To nature.
To the steadiness of the body.

When women gather together, something shifts.

The breath deepens.
The body unwinds.
Clarity returns.

Women Unplugged is a retreat designed to nourish your nervous system, support your hormones, and reconnect you with yourself and with other women.

It’s grounded.
It’s restorative.
It’s real.

If your body has been craving this kind of reset, this is your invitation.

Come unplug.

All the details are you know where. 😘

The womb is not quiet.
We’re remembering how to listen.

When Shakti is grounded in the pelvis and Apana Vayu is steady, the nervous system softens and intuition becomes something you can feel, not something you have to think your way into.

Many of us learned to live from the neck up.
To move through effort, logic, and performance.
To treat the body like an object that’s something to manage or decorate.

That’s Princess energy.
Not wrong, just one stage of the feminine journey.

Queen energy is when the body becomes home.

A queen knows her land.
She feels when to plant and when to rest.
She knows what is sacred.
She knows what is worth her energy.

Your womb is that land.
Your hormones, emotions, creativity, and intuition move in seasons.

When Apana is steady and Shakti is grounded, you feel your timing.

When to move.
When to pause.
When to open.
When to hold.

That’s sovereignty. 💎

${🇮🇹 sotto} Letting go of self-limiting beliefs WILL CAUSE you to trust yourself. If you read that again, you may be asking… How do I begin to let go of my self-limiting beliefs? How do I know if I have them? (Are they c0ntagious??) Always start with compassion for YOUrself. When you look at the life you're living, ask yourself - is this what I want? Am I wanting THIS just because THIS wants me? Or do I really want THIS? The answers always lie in the subtle layers of your awareness. Stay compassionately present with what comes up. (and, yes - self-limiting beliefs are VERY c0ntagious...it's always good to check around for low vibe super spread-ers) Trust is like a muscle that will atrophy if not met with some resistance... The more you stretch... the faster you'll see the next tree branch that's waiting for you. #espansione #fiducia 🤍$

A love note from 2022:

Yes, I’m new…but I want you to know it’s not about you having to be new, too.

Last year already prepared you for me.

Some of the ways you were prepared …you may have deeply wanted.

And some of the ways you were prepared …you may have never wanted ….

to imagine ….nor experience.

Yet you lived all of it.

You felt all of it.

You showed up for all of it.

And now, you’re here.

With me, 2022.

This new year is not about being a new you.

It’s about you becoming more YOU.

Everything that you have right now is all that you need.

Dance with the truths that make up your life as you know it right now.

Intentionally gather all the parts of you, including those that are broken and those you dislike, and love them, thank them,
for brilliantly making you YOU.

Purposely work each day with what is and continue to turn towards yourself with love.

The New Year is not about resolutions, it’s about revelations.

What is becoming more of you is revealing itself…

Remain curious, stay in your heart, and allow it to unfold.

Twenty two and you.

{🇮🇹sotto} You can ask Saint Google or other people for the answer - yet it's always within.

We're here in earth school to learn that life isn't supposed to cater to us...

when we recognize this --- it's a Yahtzee moment.

We're always in charge of what's happening --- from the inside out.

The ego will mix this up & insist it's an outside-in approach...(aka distraction, numbing, avoiding...etc)

Thus we get busy looking forward or looking backwards - but we don't look down to figure out where our feet actually are...

In the words of the wise teaching from Pema Chodron:

“Things falling apart is a kind of testing and also a kind of healing. We think the point is to pass the test or to overcome the problem, but the truth is that things don’t really get solved. They come together and they fall apart. Then they come together again and fall apart again. It’s just like that. The healing comes from letting there be room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy.”

Give yourself room for ALL of it.

--

${🇮🇹 sotto} When we are a human "doing" all the time we crave new experiences from the outside world... the ego looks for this and easily finds it in a constant bombardment of outside-ness & separation tactics that lead us away from ourselves. However, if we get honest with what's happening in these moments of craving - we can see "new experiences" are actually just new places or new faces... yet our vibration is still the same. When we drop into the state of a human "BEING", we start to recognize that the most valuable new experiences are always right here for us. We don't need to swipe up, reach out, or run towards something outside of ourselves...because we'll never find what we seek. If you really want to have an authentic new experience...get quiet and go within. What you'll discover is more of you... the truth that you're already whole... the truth that there's nothing to be afraid of... the truth that there's actually a lot to be excited about. 💌$

{🇮🇹 sotto} I once had a teacher who said, “if you don’t like practicing a certain pose, this means that you need to do it more”.

In that moment I became deeply aware of all the ways in which we give our power away.

To truly feel our innate power, vast capabilities & actively participate in our lives means that we call back the parts of ourselves we have outsourced.

It’s through this calling in that we recognize the low vibe behaviors & habits that we run towards.

We see how they give us temporary relief.

And, how they perpetuate our own suffering.

When we intentionally sit through the storms of suffering, we notice each storm is temporary.

We unlearn what we may have been taught - that if something is uncomfortable it’s wrong.

Yet life can be both uncomfortable… and ordinary.

However, it’s not about being stimulated & positive all the time…it’s about being real all the time.

This is when the uncomfortable becomes more comfortable.

This is when the ordinary becomes extraordinary.

#meditation

—

Vediamo come ci danno sollievo temporaneo.

${🇮🇹 sotto} Today I celebrate the woman who, exactly ten years ago, decided to listen to the whispers of her soul. I walked away from a cushy fashion career, closed my Manhattan yoga studio, and soon thereafter moved to Italy. I chose to cease following expired programs & stories. I gave myself permission to always ask, "is this IT?" ...and be mindful to not listen to everyone else's "it's". Now entering year 11, I'm here to tell you that the direction & definition of your life is not determined or defined by what you've done or who you were in the past. The direction & definition of your life IS determined by who you choose to be in the present moment. Life is FAR MORE INTERESTED in your courage... Your courage to be right here, to be present, and to honor the answers when you ask, "Is this it?"
